Wolfgang Ernst

Wolfgang Ernst is Full Professor for Media Theories at the Institute for Musicology and Media Studies, Humboldt University, Berlin. He studied history, classics, and archaeology; in the 1980s and 1990s his research focused on theory of history, museology and the cultural archive before growing into the emerging discipline of media studies. His current fields include time-based and time-critical media, their techno-mathematical aspects and their "sonic" qualities. His books include: Medium Foucault.
