Madeline Djerejian

Madeline Djerejian is a visual artist born in New York City and raised in Athens, Greece and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Her videos, photographs and text-based works have been shown in solo exhibitions at The Reading Room (Dallas, TX), Galerie Otto Schweins (Cologne), Galerie Klaus Peter Goebel (Stuttgart), and in group exhibitions in Europe and the USA. Her videos – silent works of text and image – have screened in festivals and exhibitions including: Manifesta 8 (Murcia, Spain); AVE Festival, Bergen Kunsthall (Norway); news from abroad (Murray Guy, NY); Viewing the Political (Elastic Residence, London); and 50 Artists Photograph the Future (Higher Pictures, NY). In 2008 she was a Visiting Artist Fellow at the University of Wales Newport She holds an MFA in Photography & Related Media from School of Visual Arts and a BA in Middle Eastern Languages & Cultures from Columbia University.
