Arthur Ou works in photography, sculpture, and installation. He deploys photography within the contexts of these differing elements to elicit questions concerning modernism, assimilation, historiography and documentation. He has exhibited internationally, most recently at LAXART in Los Angeles and IT Park Gallery in Taipei. He has published critical texts in Aperture, Afterall.org, Artforum.com, Fantom, Foam, X-Tra, and Words Without Pictures. He is the Director of BFA Photography and an Assistant Professor in the School of Art, Media, and Technology, Parsons the New School for Design.
